Kalemegdan

Belgrade is a city that if you live in the center everything is near you and you really do not need a car. Belgrade is the capital of Serbia and ex-Yugoslavia and all my roots are from there, actually I do speak Serbian with my family.
When I was young my relatives always took me to the big “castle” that stands exactly in front of the intersection of the rivers “Sava I Dunav” called Kalemegdan. That has been a fort of many different empires and kings throughout the history and there also stands an exhibition of all the rests of the Second World War and you can jump on the tanks and it was so so fun when I was a child.
Two years ago I went again with my cousin for the umpteenth time, but this time was really incredible. This time the only difference was that the sun was switched for the moon and it gave me a so different perception how I felt it and the moonlight made it so interesting and quite. The rhythm of the people was much slower, there were so many couples (not strange) enjoying the view to big part of the city. In this walk we did also a different route, we walked true the tanks and passed down some sort of bridges, then we passes thru some parts that were not just ruins and we finished walking near the zoo. And well the artificial light they put to illuminate parts of the building helped a lot.
I just want to invite you to Belgrade and to do this romantic-touristic walk.

PS: Contact me to tell you where the best pizza of the city is
